My name is Mohamed-Bachir Belaid, a researcher in computer science, born in 27/06/1992. Between 2011 and 2016, I did my masters in computer science and operation research at the university of Oran in Algeria. My master thesis was on solving the multi-dimensional knapsack problem using a reduce and solve approach. Then, I started my PhD at the university of Montpellier, France in October 2016. My PhD work was on the use of constraint programming to solve data mining problems. I have defended my PhD thesis in 11/01/2020. In February 2020 I have joined Simula Research Laboratory in Oslo, Norway as a postdoc. I have worked on developing new constraint acquisition algorithms, more precisely on learning qualitative constraint models. I have worked for two months (between 08/2022 and 10/2022) as a postdoc at OsloMet university, where I worked on explainable AI and learning automata. From October 2022 to January 2023, I worked as a postdoc at NILU, the Norwegian "Climate and environmental research institute" to apply AI approaches for environmental data analysis. Currently and starting from February 2023, I work at NILU as AI Research Scientist. My main research interests are: symbolic AI, constraint reasoning and learning, optimization, explainable AI, concept learning, learning automata, AI applications on environmental problems,...etc.
