Making Movement Matter
Summary
Seed funding for the seminar (Un)Trackable: Movement Data and AI at the Oslo School of Architecture and Design on 29–30 October 2026, part of the larger project Making Movement Matter. The symposium positions everyday movement as a rich design material that is increasingly tracked and traced, and investigates how movement is shaped by technology, social conventions and feedback — and how these influences can be made visible and ethically (recon-)figured. It brings together design, movement studies, choreography, HCI, philosophy and disability studies, with international speakers from milieus such as Motionbank, the Creative Computing Institute and Edinburgh, alongside national MishMash partners. It follows a first seminar held with the CHERISH research group at the University of Agder in January 2026.
