Today, MishMash formally starts as a centre. We are still waiting for the consortium agreement to be signed by all partners, but the work has been going on for a while already, and from today the centre is officially up and running.

An autumn of preparations

The Work Package Leader Group has been working throughout the autumn semester on setting up the internal structures of the centre: how the seven work packages will run, how the partners will collaborate across institutions, and how we will communicate within the network and with the world around us.

A large part of the work has gone into preparing the announcements of the first MishMash positions. Doctoral and postdoctoral fellowships will be announced at the partner institutions across Norway over the coming months, with application deadlines running from early 2026 until the summer. The open positions page will be updated as the announcements are published, so keep an eye on it and help us spread the word.

What comes next

The plan for the first year to recruit fellows during the spring, get the work packages going, and bring the whole network together for a formal opening in the spring of 2026. The centre will be up to full speed from the autumn of 2026.
