Hanne-Lovise Skartveit holds a PhD in media studies from the University of Bergen, focusing on hybrid documentary forms, and a master's degree in screenwriting. She has produced three feature films in Ecuador screened at venues including the Berlinale and Toronto IFF, and has taught film, media production and screenwriting at the University of Bergen and Universidad San Francisco de Quito. She works with communications and coordinates postgraduate and continuing education at the Faculty of Film, TV and Games, University of Inland Norway, and is a member of the faculty's Art and AI research group.
