Curating AI-driven Artistic Processes: WP2 Showcases
Summary
The leadership team of WP2: AI in Artistic Processes curates critical AI-led creativity and showcases the talents of WP2 members at MishMash’s inaugural conference in Kristiansand on 14–15 September 2026, in both exhibitory and performative formats — alongside research networking with Ars Electronica in Linz. The showcases include smaller installations and artistic experiments with available AI tools and processes, as well as self-built generative models and datasets that raise questions about the ethics and aesthetics of AI use in the arts. The funding also covers collective subscriptions to AI tools and GPU server rental, giving the WP2 community of artists, practitioners and researchers basic resources to experiment and showcase outcomes, and nurturing practice-based, arts-led discourses on AI within MishMash.
