Evaluation of Cultural Bias and Workflow in AI Music Generation
Summary
This project validates SCOPE (Situated Creative Operation and Process Evaluation), a framework that assesses AI music tools based on their effectiveness in supporting real creative workflows. Five semi-professional musicians will spend a day working with tools like Suno and Udio while researchers measure technical performance and creative control. The study aims to uncover hidden biases in these systems and provide open-source templates for practitioners to evaluate how AI tools fragment or support their creative practice.
