Luciano Azzigotti is a composer and media artist whose work focuses on the invention of systems, where the relationships between instruments, beings and environments converge in an estrangement. Starting from instrumental music writing, his experiments with amplification, installation objects, dynamic notation, gamified environments and expanded reality have been described as having a veiled lyrical complexity, of a highly ambiguous and compelling nature.(Monjeau, 2010). The winner of the Juan Carlos Paz Award, Condor de Plata, and supports from Ernst Von Siemens Stiftung, Fondo Nacional de las Artes among others, his work has been presented internationally in venues such as IMDarmstadt, Teatro General San Martín, Harvard University and Impuls Academy. His concert work has been commissioned by ensembles and soloists around the world, ranging from reConvert, HKBern, Bruno Mesz, Anna D Errico, and Ensemble Neo. Azzigotti is also faculty of the Department of New Media Composition at the Haute Ecole de Musique de Genève and UNTREF Argentina. As a curator he was the founder of conDiT Buenos Aires, and directed the Experimental Center Tacec (2018) at the Teatro Argentino de La Plata. Currently a doctoral student of the binational programme HKB-HM Freiburg, he curates and researches about fictional objects and hypermusic at foMi.Lab
